Meet the Founder
Linda DeTerlizzi, RN BSN CCM, is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing with more than 30 years of nursing experience.
After graduation she spent 13 years as a United States Navy Nurse Corps Officer, stationed in hospitals stateside and overseas. As a senior officer, she became an Instructor in the Navy’s Hospital Corps School, training a number of classes of hospital corpsmen.
In the transition to civilian nursing, Linda assumed a leadership role as the Assistant Director of Nursing at a large Medicare certified skilled nursing facility. This prepared her for the middle and upper management positions she held in a non-profit urban hospice agency.
Linda has been a research coordinator for a large international pharmaceutical clinical trial. As a Home Care Coordinator, she expanded her knowledge of Home Health Care and home medical equipment.
As a Hospital Case Manager and Care Coordinator, Linda broadened her knowledge of Utilization Review, hospital admission criteria and complete Hospital Discharge Planning.
Linda was educated and mentored in the practice of Care Coordination and Discharge Planning at a large health care organization in Virginia. She began in Utilization Review with the same organization. Linda’s career has taken her to multiple locations along the East Coast, the Midwest and Puerto Rico.
Currently, Linda is a Certified Case Manager and practicing in West Central Florida as a Hospital Case Manager, responsible for the initial and concurrent Utilization Reviews and all of the discharge planning needs for her patients.
She is happily married to her husband of more than 30 years and is the mother to 3 sons and 2 black Labrador Retrievers. Linda enjoys the beach, bike riding, swimming, yoga and traveling with her husband.
